Nos Están Desapareciendo

by A. Lopez

Nos Están Desapareciendo is a poetry collection that gives voice to the fear, grief, and silence surrounding immigrant families affected by ICE raids and deportation.

Through raw and honest verse, the book explores loss, identity, and resilience in the face of erasure. These poems speak for those who have been silenced, forgotten, or forced to disappear.

ICE raids began intensifying in June 2025—and they continue today. The disappearances have not stopped, and neither has the need to speak.

It’s not just a book—it’s a record of what should never be forgotten.

“Nos Estan Desapareciendo is a book that captures what is truly going on today in this world we live in. It was written beautifully and really speaks for those that can’t or may be scared to. I’m beyond proud to support this book, the author, and what this book represents.”

— S. Hernandez, latina college-student

“This collection dives deep into the immigrant experience - its heartbreaks, hopes, and resilience.  Themes of displacement, longing, and belonging are explored with nuance and grace.  It’s a must-read for anyone seeking to understand the emotional truths behind the struggles of immigration. ”

— Susan Lambaren, Santa Ana, CA.

About A. Lopez

I’m a first-generation Mexican-American poet based in Southern California. I began writing poetry during a time of deep unrest in my community, when immigration raids intensified and fear gripped the streets.

My debut poetry collection, Nos Están Desapareciendo, gives voice to those who are often silenced. These poems speak from a place of collective grief, resilience, and strength—honoring the families who have been displaced, separated, or forgotten.

This book is more than a collection of verses—it’s a call to remember, to resist, and to rise. Forty percent of all proceeds will go directly toward supporting immigrant communities through trauma counseling, legal defense, and financial aid.
